The type of information we may collect from you includes:
- Contact details (Full Name, Email Address, Contact Number)
- Details of any contact you've had with us
- Information in relation to the treatment you are receiving                                                                                                                                                                       -Questionnaires that you complete as part of your treatment with us
-Details of GP medical services

Spacetotalk will gather information to enable registration to the service. In the majority of circumstances, we will not disclose personal data without consent, unless there is a legal or safeguarding issue. Information is stored securely in a mixture of electronic and non-electronic format and is held for the term dictated by legislation. Once this deadline has passed all information is destroyed. Why do we process you personal data?

We process your personal data to provide healthcare, specifically talking therapies for mental health concerns.  This personal data is called Special Category data – data that needs more protection because it is sensitive. We have what is called a “legitimate interest” in legal terms, for processing your data.   We process your data to allow us to keep safe records, comply with our professional bodies, to enable us to invoice, and to make sure that we are offering you a high-quality service. 

We may share your information in the following ways: 

  • With your consent, we share clinical information with your employer, if they are funding appointments
  • We share information on your attendance with your employer, if they are funding appointments
  • We share information with your clinician so that they can deliver the best service possible to you
  • We share information with your GP, at times, if there is a clinical reason for this
  • We share your psychometric questionnaires in anonymised forms for audit purposes.  This also helps us to let your employer know how the colleagues that they refer to us are generally doing, if your employer is funding your therapy.  

 

Third Parties

Third party data collection:
- Google Analytics: collects standard internet log information from our website, e.g. number of visitors. At no point is the information used to identify anyone.
- IONOS: collects anonymous information about users' activity on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         -Office 365, Microsoft: which is our preferred provider of cloud storage.  Data is stored in the UK and EU.

 

Web Browser Cookies

This site uses cookies - small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. Cookies are used to provide anonymised tracking data to third party application Google Analytics. As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site. 

 

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you.  These are:  

  • Your right of access
  • Your right to rectification
  • Your right to erasure
  • Your right to restriction of processing
  • Your right to object to processing
  • Your right to data portability

You do not have to provide us with your personal data, but we will be unable to work together with you without that data.
